SurfAid International is a non-profit organization that focuses on saving the lives of Mentawai Islanders in Indonesia suffering from malaria and other preventable diseases. Most recently, SurfAid has implemented an Emergency Response Appeal to help the people of Padang who were hit by a strong earthquake in late September 2009.
As reported in October 2009, SurfAid team members have distributed approximately 200 family tents to displaced communities at Kubu Anau.
On October 31, a Paddle Out Ceremony will be held at Jan Juc Beach, Torquay, Vic 12pm
